One of the most anticipated gastronomic events of the summer in the province and beyond is returning to Vasanello: the "Sagra dello Gnocco co' la Rattacacio."

"Gnocchi co' la ratta cacio" is one of the main dishes of Vasanello cuisine, and the festival was created with the aim of promoting and enhancing this specialty of the so-called "poor cuisine." Made with a simple dough of water and flour, the gnocchi are then shaped using the "ratta cacio," a cheese grater, to create the characteristic "little square" grooves that capture the delicious sauces, traditionally made by the local women.
